Where o where have we been?

You may of noticed we haven't been on here for a while. Where did we go you ask? I would love to answer 'to a sunny beach far far away' but I'm afraid the real reason is much less exotic.

Alice and I, have in fact been hard at work on the dreaded dissertation. On top of this we have been encouraging people to use play.com, watch TV channel Gold daily, shop at St Marks shopping centre, use Pantene Classic on their hair, oh and we stopped under 16 year old's from drinking. Phew what a busy few weeks we have had, and the work doesn't stop.

Currently we are working on a campaign for feel good drinks, promoting 'Fruit not Sugar', so far in the thought process we have drawn a fat mouse, a giant ant, a sugar daddy oh and Alan sugar dipped in a cup of tea. Just another day really! We will keep you informed of how the brief goes.

Well that was that

Michael Jackson for me was one of the greats, so when he died earlier this year I'm not afraid to admit I was one of the many fans crying into my cereal bowl at the loss of such a legendary artist. So imagine my delight when I heard they were going to be screening the rehearsal footage from what would of been his final tour. I expected crowds of people at the cinema, hundreds of fans hoping to catch a glimpse of MJs final moments, but there was no one, the cinema was bare. Amidst wondering where everyone was I was very grateful that I had decided against wearing my 'I love MJ' Tshirt and my sparkly glove, as I think I would of got some very funny looks.

The film itself was well worth watching, all be it just to see how much work goes into creating these concerts. And although I feel for MJs family I also cant help but feel sad for the production team behind his tour, to have worked so incredibly hard on a project for so long, working tiredly to come up with ideas, and then overnight have it all grind to a halt and never see your work prevail into anything must be crushing. For this reason alone I am glad his family decided to release this footage as at least we all get to see a glimmer of the vast talent involved.

As for MJ, he was of course on top form and it reminded me what a fantastic artist he was. Someone pass me a tissue!

Des and Al have arrived

After weeks of careful deliberation, phone votes, and opinion polls the votes have been counted and verified and we have now settled on Des and Al for our creative names. But whats it mean I hear two people at the back ask? Well, it could be reference to two great designers of yesteryear, or it may be an acronym of our best qualities, or perhaps its simply our initials that put together sound like a couple of old men and make us giggle. The choice is yours.
